There is a quote I read once that said that you should marry someone that you want your children to be like. I literally can not think of one quality (procrastination, except for his procrastination) that your daddy has that I do not hope and pray that you have. Here are a few of those qualities:
He is loyal: to his family, to his friends, even to the Pittsburgh Pirates (no matter how they let him down)
He is social: you can put him in any situation and he will be right at home
He is loving: I know if I (or you) need anything, anything, all I need to do is ask. I also know that his happiness is completely dependent on our happiness, which is love.
He is patient: in a long line, during a long tantrum, or while I tell him a never-ending story that he has no interest in
He is optimistic: he has the best perspective on everything, even if something goes wrong, he makes you feel like everything is going to be ok, and you know what, he's right.
I want you two to know how lucky you are to have a daddy like you have, and you know what? I think you do. I can tell the way you, Charlie, strain your neck to see him when you hear him come in the door and how your face lights up. And you Soph, the way you run to him to hug him and ride on his back and pretend that he is the dragon and you are the princess. We are lucky to have a daddy, husband, and friend like we do.
